Welcome to the Human Resources Department for the Town of Bernalillo. Our mission is to enhance the value and productivity of the Town of Bernalillo’s most valuable assets, our employees. We are responsible for recruiting, engaging, and developing the Town's workforce to meet the expectations and service needs of the citizens in our community.  

The Human Resources Department is responsible for developing and managing a comprehensive human resources program for approximately 100 full-time, part-time, and seasonal employees that serve the Town of Bernalillo. The Department advises the Town Council, Mayor, Town Administrators, Department Heads, supervisors, and employees on issues of compensation, benefits, training and development, recruitment and selection, safety, human resource compliance, and workers compensation.  

We support employees and management as they strive to provide outstanding services to citizens and guests of the Town of Bernalillo in a manner that is as productive, efficient, and cost effective as possible.

The Human Resources Department provides a wide range of services to support the Town of Bernalillo's employees, departments, and their functions, including:

  • Training and Development
  • Performance Management
  • Safety

How To Apply

All applicants seeking employment with the Town of Bernalillo are required to complete a Town of Bernalillo Employment Application Form, and in some cases also submit a resume with references. You may download our Employment Application, or you may pick one up in person from the reception desk in the main lobby of Town Hall, located at 829 Camino Del Pueblo.

Applicants are encouraged to regularly check our website for current Employment Opportunities. All Employment Opportunities are also posted on a bulletin board in the main lobby of Town Hall when positions become available. Job Postings will specify the exact amount of time that the position will be open.  The Town of Bernalillo reserves the right to extend that timeframe should it be deemed necessary.
