- 6pm | Annual Christmas Tree & Water Tower Lighting | Join us as we light up the tree and Town hall for the holiday season. Don’t forget that we will have fresh biscochitos, hot apple cider, and caroling! Santa and Mrs. Claus will make a special guest appearance as well!
- 10am | Family Christmas Celebration at the Martha Liebert Public Library | Santa and Mrs. Claus will be at the Martha Liebert Public Library once again for photos and a special Christmas story time! We will also have other holiday fun activities for the whole family, even a letter writing station to make sure Santa knows exactly what is on your Christmas Wish List! - 6:30pm | 38th Annual Nighttime Christmas Parade | CHRISTMAS ON ROUTE 66 | Watch all the dazzling lights on our wonderful holiday parade. This year will feature Santa and Mrs. Claus, be sure to line Camino del Pueblo to catch candy from the floats! This year’s theme is: Christmas on Route 66! The parade will conclude at Rotary Park with a bonfire, biscochitos, and hot cider! We encourage everyone to participate in the parade, registration necessary - all funds go towards Children's Christmas Gift Program
- 6-8pm | Holiday Social at the Recreation Center - 570 Rotary Park Rd | The Recreation Department is once again hosting its annual HOLIDAY SOCIAL! Join us for this FREE family-friendly event!! We will have Santa, refreshments, live entertainment, and DOOR PRIZES!
- Noon - 1pm | Santa & the Fire Department at Town Hall | Santa and the Bernalillo Fire/Rescue Department will be handing out free goodie bags to kids who stop by to visit on Christmas Day! They will be standing out in front of Town Hall.
- Can you give back this holiday season? Consider donating to the Town’s annual Christmas Gift Program. We are collecting new toys (and donations to purchase toys) to give to the youth of Bernalillo who may need to be reminded of the spirit of Christmas.
- Families who have children that are in need this year may register to receive a gift from this program.
- Join in the holiday spirit with us by decorating your home or business!
- Sand for luminarias will be provided by the Town and will be available for pick-up by the Bernalillo Recreation Pool (be sure to leave some so your neighbor can participate in the festivities too)!
- Applying for the contest is FREE but required for participation. Prizes will be given for the best houses and best businesses decorated.
- Last day to register is December 15th at 5pm.
- Judging will take place on December 17th at 6:30pm.
