Vincent Montoya

Vincent Montoya was born and raised in Bernalillo, a graduate from Bernalillo High School and received a  Bachelors of Accountancy from New Mexico State University. He retired from over 25 years of work with State, County and most recently Municipal Government.  During this time, Vincent assisted in the successful completion of multiple Annual Financial Audits receiving the GFOA award for reporting excellence.

He developed and maintained budgets in excess of $125 million, as well as implemented, maintained government financial software and trained users on how to properly use the systems.
He was elected School Board Member for Bernalillo Public Schools for two terms. During his 8 year tenure on the board he served on the Audit and Budget committees, helped procure the necessary funding to complete the construction of the new High School as well as other projects to help improve our schools throughout the district. 
Vincent is dedicated to maintaining fiscal responsibility, transparency and accountability and will continue to work with friends and neighbors to help keep Bernalillo's safety, culture and history a prominent goal as the Town continues to grow.
